Amidst a crypto bear market, the FBI has decided to tighten the noose around frauds in the crypto space. The FBI has arrested the CEO of New York-based crypto exchange EminiFX on charges of fraud. According to the criminal complaint, Eddy Alexandre has been accused of defrauding his customers of $59 million between September 2021 and May 2022. The funds were wrongfully acquired on promises of ‘guaranteed’ 5% weekly returns.
