IMF Chair advises investors against ditching crypto

IMF Chair Kristalina Georgieva said the collapse of Terra’s algorithmic stablecoin UST shouldn’t make people reject cryptocurrencies. Georgieva says the crypto market offers speedier service, lower pricing, and more inclusion. IMF’s Kristalina Georgieva feels cryptocurrencies, like all investments, carry risk. Stablecoins backed by cash and other assets differ from algorithm-based ones, and Georgieva thus advises against investing in those.
