Bitcoin miners who have been seeing Kazakhstan as a safe haven after last year’s China crackdown on cryptocurrency. Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov has confirmed that the Kazakh government is working on new tax laws that will link tax collection to prices of tokens such as Bitcoin. “We are considering increasing the tax burden for miners, at the moment we are also considering linking the tax rate for miners to the value of the cryptocurrency. If the cryptocurrency grows, it will be good for the budget,” Kuantyrov said.
