Solana has released a report outlining the recent outage on 30 April. Based on reports confirming the same, the network disruption was not caused due to an external attack. The root cause of the high memory usage was insufficient votes landing to finalise earlier blocks and preventing abandoned fork cleanup. Solana is taking measures to prevent such network problems in the future.
